From the moment I stepped into my Pre-K classroom, I fell in love with learning. I was that child who truly loved school. In middle and high school, I became a peer tutor for English and Math, and it was then that I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up.
However, as I got older, I realized that a traditional teaching career didn’t align with my spiritual goals. Instead, I pursued a part-time job in the medical field, which taught me invaluable lessons in patience, compassion, and the joy of helping others.
In 2019, I discovered the world of online teaching and was amazed to find children around the globe eager to learn English. I realized I could still make a meaningful impact on students’ lives—and do it from home! I quickly earned my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and TEYL (Teaching English to Young Learners) certifications. From the moment I started teaching, I felt a deep sense of fulfillment, as though a long-lost piece of my heart had returned.
In 2020, I decided to take my passion for teaching even further. With the world transitioning online during the pandemic, I seized the opportunity to complete my Bachelor of Arts in Education, graduating Cum Laude. This experience solidified my love for lifelong learning and my dedication to helping students thrive.
For me, teaching is about building meaningful relationships and tapping into my students’ passions. I strive to make learning relevant and engaging, allowing students to make connections with what they are learning and the world around them. Every decision I make is guided by what’s best for my students, and I aim to model the joy of learning in everything I do.
